On September 30, Zhichepai learned from the State Administration for Market Regulation that Volvo Car Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Daqing Volvo Car Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Haoqing Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the " Defective Automobile Product Recall Management Regulations " and the "Implementation Measures for the Regulations on Recall Recall Management of Defective Automobile Products". It is decided to recall the following vehicles from September 30, 2022, totaling 4,720 vehicles.
Due to power battery problems, 4720 Volvo imported XC90 and other models were recalled
Specifically, Volvo Car Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. first recalled some imported XC90 cars for 2020 and 2021 produced from June 4, 2019 to March 8, 2021, totaling 1,379.
In addition, Daqing Volvo Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. recalled some 2020 and 2021 domestic S60 cars produced from May 15, 2019 to September 1, 2020, a total of 294; some 2020 and 2021 domestic S90 long-wheelbase cars produced from March 28, 2019 to October 8, 2020, a total of 2109.
Finally, Zhejiang Haoqing Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. recalled some 2020 and 2021 domestic XC60 cars produced from February 25, 2019 to September 24, 2020, totaling 938.
Zhichepai learned that some plug-in hybrid vehicle within the recall range have an internal short circuit in the power battery module cell. When the power battery is in a high energy state, the battery module may overheat, which in extreme cases causes the power battery to get out of control, which poses a safety hazard.
It is understood that in August this year, a total of 17,134 vehicles were sold in mainland China, a year-on-year increase of 30.9%, and a double-digit growth of 10.7% month-on-month, with a stable overall performance.
