In September, SAIC Volkswagen sold 123,501 vehicles, down 23.1% year-on-year, and ranked first. This was its first time to reach the top of the year; FAW-Volkswagen trailed SAIC Volkswagen by 15,800 vehicles and fell to second place with 107,762 vehicles. The year-on-year decline was as high as 48.6%. It seems that the degree of core shortage determines the ranking.

The top ten independent brands are: Geely Automobile, Changan Automobile , BYD , SAIC-GM-Wuling and Great Wall Motor .

Among them, Great Wall Motor replaced and FAW Toyota entered the top ten. In September, it sold 71,644 vehicles, ranking 9th; BYD and SAIC-GM-Wuling both grew against the market, especially BYD, with a year-on-year increase of 90.2%. This is not only a boost to the sales of new energy vehicles, but also a result of its unaffected by the lack of cores; Geely cars ranked in the top three with 95,923 vehicles.

Tesla, which has received much attention, saw its September sales surge 360.3% year-on-year to 52,123, ranking 13th. Although there are constant problems and rights protection, and Tesla are still selling violently, and the Model Y standard version is indispensable, which has been favored by many consumers.

In the sedan market, Sylphy dropped 31.8% year-on-year, but 39,250 vehicles continued to reach the top, unshakable dominance. However, the pressure brought by the latecomers is not small, Hongguang MINI EV followed with 35,169 vehicles, the difference between the two is only more than 4,000 vehicles, and a year-on-year increase of 142.6%. The third is LaVida , whose sales in September fell 28.5% year-on-year to 34,547 units.
