Two years ago, KTM 1290 Super Duke R underwent a major upgrade. Last year, KTM released a stronger 1290 Super Duke RR limited edition. Recently, "Super Duke" has a new style, this time the code name is EVO.
KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO is equipped with a fast steering throttle (65 degree twist) and a higher specification active suspension from WP. Of course, there are also "new graphics" in blue. KTM claims that the latest version of the WP semi-active suspension is faster and more precise in its adjustments, and KTM will provide an optional "Suspension Pro" kit that will allow separate adjustments of front and rear damping and anti-dive functions.
It is reported that the KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO is priced at US$19,599, which is US$900 higher than the regular version (US$18,699). It will enter the North American market in January 2022.
Since the 1290 Super Duke RR is limited to 500 units, many motorcycle enthusiasts have missed the stronger Super Duke. Although the new EVO version is slightly inferior to the dual R version, the EVO version is an excellent choice for those who want a dual R version but cannot buy it.
