Harrison Forman Harrison Forman was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA on June 15, 1904. He died in New York, USA on January 31, 1978 at the age of 73. He is a well-known photojournalist, explorer, author and member of the American Geographical Society. As a foreign correspondent, Forman's pictures and articles often appear in major European and American media such as the New York Times, London Times, Life, Look, Collier, Harper's and Reader's Digest. Forman traveled the world with an anthropologist's eye. He was fascinated by the life, culture, economy, government and infrastructure of every place he visited. Known as the "modern Marco Polo" in his heyday, Foreman was often the first Westerner to appear in remote areas and always seemed to be in the right place at the right time, using his photography to bear witness to important moments in history.
