Hi, I am Yitu Technology.
htmlOn September 9, Fuji released a total of 3 new products, including X-H2 micro-single camera, XF56mm F1.2 R WR large aperture lens and GF20-35mmF4 R WR medium-format ultra-wide-angle zoom lens.
Let’s talk about X-H2 first. It has basically the same body as X-H2S. The main difference is that the sensor is replaced by X-Trans 5 HR (back-illuminated) with about 40.2 million effective pixels, thus providing higher Resolution and 8K video shooting function.
The main differences between it and X-H2S include:
Further understanding:
Fuji X-H2 has the most effective pixels in APS-C format, which exceeds the previous 1.6x APS-C of Canon 90D/R7. However, the single pixel size of Fuji X-H2 is still about 3.0μm, which is basically the same as Panasonic GH6 (4/3 model about 26 million pixels) .
More intuitively explains: If the Fuji X-H2 sensor is made into a full frame, then there will be about 93 million pixels; if it is made into a 44×33 medium format, it will be about 158 million pixels! In terms of video, Fuji X-H2 is the fifth consumer interchangeable lens camera that realizes 8K video shooting after Canon EOS R5/R5C, Sony α1, and Nikon Z 9. It provides 7680×4320 resolution, up to 30p frame rate , 10bit 4:2:2 sampling, H.265 encoding, up to 720Mbps code rate.
Judging from the Fuji X-H2 situation, APS-C format (or Super35) will be the bottom line for 8K recording of interchangeable lens cameras, and the M4/3 system should not be 8K in the short term. Compared with other full-frame 8K cameras, the Fuji X-H2 should be more popular in telephoto themes.
Then let’s talk about XF56mm F1.2 R WR large aperture lens. Although the model only has "WR", this lens is completely redesigned and uses a new mirror group structure and driving unit. The focus distance has been shortened to 0.5m recently and the aperture blades have increased to 11.
It should be noted that XF56mm F1.2 R WR will move 8 lenses and aperture units together when focusing. The new bearing structure can reduce friction and noise. It does not use LM linear focus like new lenses such as 18/1.4, 23/1.4, 33/1.4, etc., and there should be some differences in the focus speed.
Finally, let’s talk about GF20-35mmF4 R WR, which is currently the lens with the widest viewing angle on the 44×33 system, which is even wider than the 21mm fixed focus next door. is equivalent focal length is about 16-28mm, equivalent aperture is about F3.1, filter diameter φ82mm, weight is about 725g, compared with the full-frame 16-35/2.8 lenses are basically on the same order of magnitude. At this time, considering that the GFX system can provide 100 million pixels without affecting the high sense and dynamic range and has a larger color depth, it is still more capable.
If I buy a GFX camera, then this lens should be a must-have! It’s the current environment... I shouldn’t have the opportunity to be so patient in a short period of time...
Fuji GFX system currently has 5 zooms and 9 fixed-focus models, while next door is 1 zoom and 12 fixed-focus models. Just looking at the comparison of the number of zoom/fix, you will know that Fuji is making GFX into a " micro-single camera " with a larger sensor, while next door is a more sophisticated "medium format camera". There will still be great differences in usage and audience.
Finally, Fuji previewed two shift lenses GF30mm and GF110mm, both of which have pitch + translation functions. The equivalent focal length corresponds to 24mm and 90mm. If nothing unexpected happens, the latter is a moving axis macro lens.
