Rokas Born in Siauliai, Lithuania, he first picked up his grandfather's film camera at the age of 15. What started as an interest in the technical aspects of the equipment soon developed into an obsession with taking pictures. Previously living in Chicago and Dublin , Rokas moved to London in 2009 to study for a BA in Photography and further developed his work by focusing primarily on portraiture, a foundation that is reflected in his work today. After completing his studies, Rokas began assisting photographers such as Ben Toms, Matt Irwin and Willy Vanderperre, as well as working on personal freelance projects.
After joining St. Luke’s in 2014, Rokas drew on his nomadic influences to create natural, beautiful and streamlined photographs that have become his signature style. His work has appeared in How To Spend It, The Last Magazine, Vogue Russia, Harper's Bazaar and ES Magazine, and commercial clients include Net-A-Porter, Boucheron, Harrods, ELV Denim and MIH Jeans. In addition to Rokas' photography, he also focuses on film projects. His debut feature length documentary "Rūta" premiered in cinemas in February 2018.
