During the performance, the dancer holds the drum with his left hand and the drum whip with his right hand, or beats the drum heart, or beats the drum side and dances while beating. The drum beats are varied, the dance movements are rough and heroic, and the dance steps are freely rotated and complex. The deafening drum sound is dotted with the crisp crackling sound of the drum rings, making people feel that the yin and yang are distinct and harmonious and unified; the refreshing dance posture vividly reflects the long history of Fuxi's hometown culture. The performance team ranges from a few dozen people, and the performance team can reach hundreds or thousands. Every year, starting in the fourth month of the lunar calendar, four villages and eight villages are gathered for drum competitions, until the May Duanyang Festival ends. It has now become a folk activity that is popular among local people.
