People's Daily Nanchang June 25th (Shigure) On the 23rd, the Nanchang Five-Star White Crane Protection Community was full of green under the aerial lens. The Five-Star White Crane Conservation Community is located on the bank of Poyang Lake. This wetland attracts migratory birds to come here every winter to look for food. It has also become a "canteen" for many migratory birds.

It is understood that the Five-Star White Crane Protection Community was established in April 2017, led by relevant personnel of the Nanchang Wildlife Conservation Association, with more than 2 million yuan raised from the public, and based on the construction of the Five-Star Reclamation Farm. Currently, it is the only institution in Jiangxi Province that specializes in the protection and scientific research of wild white cranes.

In recent years, the Nanchang Five-Star White Crane Conservation Area has provided a relatively stable food source and a relatively safe habitat for white cranes and other rare and endangered migratory birds to overwinter in Poyang Lake, which has greatly alleviated the tension of "human-bird competition for food" in the areas surrounding the important wetlands of Poyang Lake. The situation has enhanced the whole society's awareness of the protection of wetlands and migratory birds, and has played a positive role in exploring the participation of non-governmental organizations in the protection of wetlands and migratory birds.
