In the small class of the Yihe Garden Kindergarten in Hefei, there are 13 children aged 2-3. "This is the first year that our kindergarten has collected early children. For these 2-3-year-old children, we have a 'integrated medical and nursing education' model, that is, we will take care of more in life. From the beginning of school to the present, the overall situation has been very good." said Hu Baoyun, the principal of the kindergarten.
Outside the kindergarten door, the parents who sent the child to the child stayed at the door for a short time. "We are sending it in the morning and picking it up in the evening, which has reduced the burden on our parents. And we are very relieved to send it to the kindergarten," said a parent from a small class.
Hefei Xianxia Kindergarten is one of the six public kindergartens newly built and put into use in Shushan District this year. The kindergarten’s large-class classroom has been newly arranged. "Hyper separation anxiety for children aged 2-3 is more obvious. Therefore, we have arranged the classroom to create a game atmosphere based on the characteristics of children of this age. At the same time, our teachers all hold nanny certificates. According to the previous survey, there are 40-50 childcare needs around, and we are ready." Wang Rong, director of Hefei Xianxia Kindergarten, said.
Chen Ping, deputy director of the Private and Adult Education Department of Shushan District Education and Sports Bureau, said: "In the early stage, we did extensive publicity and actively encouraged and supported kindergartens with conditions. On the basis of meeting the needs of children aged 3-6 years old, we extended downwards and opened nursing classes . This year, our newly built public kindergartens have all set up nursing classes."
It is understood that in order to implement the "Safe Child Care Action", the Education and Sports Bureau of Shushan Bureau established a safe childcare work group, formulated a safe childcare action plan, and established a joint meeting system. It jointly held a special meeting on the promotion of integrated childcare with the Health and Construction Committee and the District Party Committee Organization Department to discuss the required material prompt cards for filing public kindergartens, non-profit kindergartens, and childcare institutions, and identified a dedicated person to promote specific affairs. Up to now, 30 kindergartens in the district have opened nursing classes.
Next step, Shushan District will build hardware facilities for childcare during construction for newly built or about to be built kindergartens; for kindergartens that have met the conditions, provide guidance on the nursing care hardware, faculty, enrollment and funding guarantees, and actively encourage them to extend downward. By 2025, no less than 30% of kindergartens in the district will open 2-3-year-old nursing classes to do their best to meet the childcare needs of dual-working families.
