on june 12th, the 2025 conference on innovation and development in the ai toy industry kicked off in chenghai, shantou, known as "china's capital of toys and gifts." according to industry reports, the global ai toy market is expected to reach 36.377 billion dollars by 2030. chenghai currently accounts for nearly 50% of china's plastic toy production capacity and about 33% of the global market. since the beginning of this year, chenghai has been revamping its traditional toy industry landscape through a dual-engine strategy driven by "ai powered guochao (trendy merchandise inspired by traditional chinese culture)."
at the event, a small ai-powered bear named "dudu" caught much attention. enabled by large language models (llms), dudu is capable of carrying on continuous conversations with users of all ages.
baidu ai cloud, leveraging its large model technology, has developed a "dual-core intelligence system" for ai toys, comprising a "left brain" and a "right brain." for one thing, it provides enhanced audiovisual processing, multimodal interaction, and cloud rendering servicesthat enable interaction via speech, vision,and digital avatars. it also integrates educational features like math problem-solving, english practice, and real-time analysis, acting as the toy's "intellectual engine." for another, powered by affective computing, it allows toys to recognize emotions and offer empathetic responses, transforming them into emotionally intelligent companions.
as china's smart toy market rapidly expands, traditional toy manufacturers are increasingly upgrading their production lines to embrace intelligent transformation. among them, chenghai-based industry leader shifeng culture has made an early entry into the ai toy sector. leveraging aigc (ai-generated content) technology, the company recently launched a new generation of ai toy, the ai magic star, designed to extend beyond mere entertainment into areas like education and emotional companionship.
in march this year, shifeng culture signed a strategic partnership agreement with baidu ai cloud, jointly launching the first batch of ai toy production plans. the two parties are now working together, using large ai models as the core, to explore innovative product forms and interactive experiences, driving chenghai's toy industry toward an intelligent, personalized, and value-added educational future.

汕頭澄海:「中國玩具之都」遇上ai大模型 開拓千億級智能玩具新藍海
6月12日,2025ai玩具產業創新和發展會議在「中國玩具禮品之都」汕頭澄海開幕。相關報告顯示,預計到2030年全球ai玩具市場規模將達到363.77億美元。汕頭澄海承包了國內近50%、全球近33%的塑料玩具產能。今年以來,汕頭澄海通過「ai+國潮」雙核驅動戰略重構傳統玩具產業版圖。
活動現場,一隻名叫「dudu」的ai小熊吸引了許多人的注意——這隻ai小熊在數據大模型的支持下,實現了與全年齡段用戶的連續對話。
據介紹,百度智能雲依託大模型技術為ai玩具構建了「左腦」和「右腦」雙智能中樞。一方面,提供音視頻增強、多模態大模型和雲渲染流化三大框架服務,支持語音、視覺、數字人等多模態交互,並集成數學解題、英語對練、實時分析等教育功能,打造「智商擔當」;另一方面,基於情感計算技術,讓玩具實現情緒識別、主動關懷等擬人化交互,真正成為懂情感的夥伴。
隨著中國智能玩具行業市場規模的快速擴張,傳統玩具生產企業相繼增加智能玩具生產線,進行智能化轉型。比如,作為澄海當地頭部玩具製造企業,澄海實豐文化就搶灘布局ai玩具賽道,基於aigc技術推出新一代ai玩具——ai魔法星,推動產業從單一娛樂向教育輔助、情感陪伴等多元化場景延伸。
