In the past few years, the place has witnessed the construction of buildings of world-renowned biomedical companies, such as GE Biotechnology Park, BeiGene, and Akesobio. Established as "a new highland for knowledge creation, a free hub for international talents, a source of innovation in the GBA, and a demonstration zone for open cooperation", the Knowledge City has grown into a "knowledge fulcrum" for leveraging the high-quality development of the GBA.

As a national bilateral cooperation project, it has continued to deepen China-Singapore cooperation, gaining an investment of 16.92 billion yuan from 76 more enterprises, and becoming a model of innovative cooperation between the two sides. The brand of the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City will continue to shine as "the first choice of Singapore companies investing in China".
As a national bilateral cooperation project, the Knowledge City has transformed into an important engine for the high-quality development of the GBA, and the core platform of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Science and Technology Innovation Corridor. According to Chen Changxin, President of China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Investment and Development Co., by integrating the resources of government and enterprises on both sides, the Knowledge City has become a key hub to support the GBA to deeply participate in global industrial innovation.
At present, it is home to over 1,000 pioneering technology enterprises, and a number of Singaporean companies, such as SP Group, LionTCR, and Biosyngen, are translating their technological achievements into products here. In addition, the Knowledge City is strengthening cooperation with Singapore in the field of medicine and exploring the pilot of the regional medicine review and approval system under the RCEP framework.
From cutting-edge R&D to results transformation and innovation application, the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City is becoming a knowledge engine for the upgrading of Guangzhou-Singapore cooperation.

如今来看，中新广州知识城已蝶变为国家级双边合作项目、粤港澳大湾区高质量发展的重要引擎、广深港澳科技创新走廊核心平台。作为中新合作的重要桥梁和纽带，中新广州知识城投资开发有限公司总裁陈长新告诉记者，通过链接中新双方政企资源，中新广州知识城已成为支撑粤港澳大湾区深度参与全球产业协同创新的关键枢纽。
目前，中新广州知识城聚集超过1000家前沿科技企业，新加坡能源集团、来恩生物、百吉生物等一批新加坡科技成果也在知识城转移转化。此外，中新广州知识城正与新加坡加强医药领域合作，探索RCEP（《区域全面经济伙伴关系协定》）区域医药审评审批体系先行先试。
