on june 21st, the 2025 zhangmutou lychee cultural tourism carnival officially kicked off. a major highlight of the event was the debut of zhangmutou's new cultural mascot, "zhang xiaolin." inspired by the mythical qilin (a legendary hooved chimerical creature that appears in chinese mythology), the character integrates lychee fragrance and brush-and-ink elements, serving as a symbolic ambassador of local heritage.
renowned as the origin of the "guanyin green" lychee variety, zhangmutou is known for producing lychees with thin skin, crisp texture, and refreshing sweetness. to honor this legacy, local young painter qing xingzi presented her lychee-themed artworks, including a realistic painting titled "guanyin green."
running through late july, the carnival features a rich array of activities, including a hakka lychee-themed gourmet competition, lychee camping festival, cultural bazaar, trendy literature and music events, and themed concerts—all celebrating the multifaceted charm of lychee culture.

盛夏限定！ 東莞樟木頭荔枝文旅嘉年華啟幕
摘荔枝、吃荔枝、飲荔咖、品荔枝宴，以舌尖感受夏日甜蜜；寫荔枝、讀荔枝、畫荔枝、唱荔枝，用文藝演繹荔鄉風情。盛夏六月，東莞樟木頭正上演著一場以荔枝為名的文旅盛宴。
6月21日，2025年樟木頭鎮荔枝旅遊文化嘉年華啟動。現場，樟木頭全新文化ip「樟小麟」驚喜亮相。它以麒麟為形，融合荔香、筆墨元素，化身樟木頭全新文化「代言人」。
作為「觀音綠」荔枝原產地，樟木頭孕育的「觀音綠」荔枝，以其皮薄肉脆、清甜爽口的品質享譽四方。本土青年畫家青杏子以寫實筆觸創作了《觀音綠》等荔枝主題畫作。
活動將持續至7月下旬，不僅有色香味十足的客家美食大賽、荔枝露營節，還有荔枝文化市集、潮流文學音樂嘉年華、主題音樂會等活動精彩上演。
