1What was your last family gathering? Do you still remember that gathering well? Why or why not?你的上次家庭聚會是什麼？那次聚會你還記得清楚嗎？為什麼記得清或為什麼記不清？
1.1gathering可數名詞，聚集，聚會。
2Family celebrations,such as holidays and birthday parties,are always a lot of fun.家庭慶祝活動，例如假日與生日派對，往往很有樂趣。
2.1such as例如，比如。通常列舉同類別的人或物的幾個例子；而for example「例如」，一般只列舉同類人或物中的「一個」。
2.2a lot of許多、大量、很多、非常。
a lot of（＝lots of）有形容詞性，可用作定語修飾可數名詞複數或不可數名詞。
3When family members get together, they talk and laugh.當家庭成員聚在一起的時候，他們有說有笑。
4They often talk about today,the past or the future.他們常常談論現在，過去和未來。
5Here are some ideas to help you save your memories.這是一些幫助你保留記憶的主意。
5.1to help you save your memories.動詞不定式短語作後置定語，修飾memories。
5.2save one's memories保留記憶
5.3save動詞，救;救助;挽救;拯救;儲蓄;攢錢;收集;收藏;保留;節省;避免，免得;救球（阻礙對方得分）;保存。
6 It's never too late to start an album of family photos.建立一本家庭相冊永遠都不會晚。
6.1too....to...的用法：
too adj./adv. to do表示「太......
而不能....」。如在too前有否定詞，則整個句子用否定詞表達肯定, too後那個詞表達一種委婉含義,意為"不太」。
6.1.1too...to的常見用法：
一般情況下「too.... to 」表示否定意義「太.......而不....。
He is too shy to give a speech.他太害羞，不敢做演講。
①變形→當主語不是人的時候(即主語是不定式動作的承受者)，不定式既可以是主動也可以是被動。
例句：The milk is to hot to drink/to be drunk.牛奶太燙了，喝不了。
②變形→在句中加上for sb.表示該動作行為只是就它的邏輯主語而言。
例句：Math is too difficult for me to learn well.數學太難，我學不好。
6.1.2too..to的特殊用法：
在下列情況下，"too...to"結構可以表示肯定意義：
①"too..to"結構之前帶有but, only, all, never, not時，是強調肯定的表示法，譯作"非常……」、「十分……」、「實在……」、「真是太……」等。
例:I'm but too happy to hear that.得知那個消息我太高興了。
6.1.3"too...to"結構中帶有表示某種心情或描繪性的形容詞或副詞，如ready,apt,eager,satisfied,inclined,kind, willing,easy,anxious等加動詞不定式，表示一種狀態、態度、傾向或心情等，其後的不定式不是說明too的具體內容，而是修飾形容詞。
例：Lei Feng was too ready to help others.雷鋒同志樂於助人。
6.1.4在"too...to"結構中，不定式為否定式時，是構成的雙重否定，其意為「非常(很，太，那麼)....不會不(必定能,所以能.).....
例：He is too kind not to help you.他很善良，不會不幫助你。
6.2an album of family photos一本家庭像冊。
6.3album名詞，專輯;相冊;影集;集郵簿;集物簿冊;(唱片或盒式磁帶等上的)音樂專輯;歌曲專輯;歌集唱片。
7You can ask family members to choose some together,you can make a slide show.你可以讓家庭成員們一起選擇一些照片，你可以製作一個幻燈片演示。
7.1ask sb to do sth意思：請求某人做某事;叫某人干某事。側重於請求某人獨自去做某事。
ask sb for doing sth意思：要求某人做某事。側重於請求某人一起去做某事。
7.2make a slide show.製作一個幻燈片演示。
7.3slide名詞，幻燈片。
7.4choose動詞，迭擇
choose...from...從……中選擇……
choose to do sth.選擇做某事
choice名詞，選擇。
8People always enjoy looking at old pictures.人們總是很喜歡看老照片。
8.1enjoy doing sth.喜歡干某事。
9Cameras are useful for recording videos of the family.相機對於家庭錄影是很有用的。
9.1be useful for 對……有作用;對……有 用; 具有...用途; 對……有用處。
be useful for sth/doing sth 對於做某事來說是很有用的;
9.2sth be useful to sb某事對於某人是有用的。
it is useful for sb to do sth 對於某人來說做某事是有用的

9.3record①動詞，錄像，錄音，記錄。②名詞，紀錄，記載。
