Jiwei.com reported that the financial report released by Taiwan's panel manufacturer AUD today (11th) showed that the company's revenue in September was NT$16.279 billion NT$4, a monthly increase of 1.6% and an annual decrease of 50.7%. AUO pointed out that the reason for the decrease in revenue this period compared with the same period last year is mainly due to the decline in market prices and the decrease in shipments.
According to Taiwan media Economic Daily, AUO's total panel shipment area in September reached 1.243 million square meters, a monthly decrease of 6.7%.
It is reported that AUO's revenue in the third quarter of this year was NT$49.73 billion, a quarterly decrease of 20.9% and an annual decrease of 49.8%. In the third quarter, the total panel shipment area reached 3.876 million square meters, a quarterly decrease of 21.2% and an annual decrease of 39.9%.
Previously, AUO Chairman Peng Shuanglang said that as countries gradually coexist with the new crown epidemic, the epidemic will not affect the panel industry much; on the contrary, the European and American governments have taken measures to raise interest rates to curb inflation. The depreciation of developing countries has led to economic collapse and impact on consumption. The Russian-Ukrainian war has not yet ended, and the rise in raw material prices, wages and climate change have brought great impact.
Peng Shuanglang believes that after inventory adjustment in the first half of the year, the inventory of brand factories gradually returned to a healthy level in the second half of the year, and some customers began to turn positive in pulling goods, but it still takes time to return to normal situations.
