Puyi, known as the last emperor, died of kidney cancer on October 17, 1967. His departure did not cause much repercussions in society, because Puyi at this time was already an ordinary Chinese citizen.
Compared with several of his predecessors, Pu Yi has a rich experience. From the emperor to the puppet, they have also experienced labor reform. Finally, he died as an ordinary citizen, and his ashes were placed in the mass cemetery.
However, 28 years after his death, the cemetery was moved to the royal cemetery, which is inseparable from the efforts of two people. They are Zhang Shiyi and Li Shuxian.
Looking for the cemetery, Li Shuxian met Zhang Shiyi who wanted to develop a commercial cemetery. Can be removed. He was finally able to deal with his family in a fair manner. For this reason, he also wrote a second book on his inner analysis. It is a pity that he passed away because of his worsening illness before he finished writing.
When preparing for his funeral, someone suggested that Puyi's younger brother and family should build a cemetery for Puyi. After all, he was also the emperor. The very conscious and clear-headed Puyi family declined this seemingly well-intentioned suggestion. They explained to the media that Puyi is just an ordinary person now, and he will be buried in the mass cemetery just like ordinary people.
More than ten years later, Puyi's cemetery suffered the first relocation. Under the arrangement from above, his cemetery was moved to the Revolutionary Cemetery. In 1992, the renewal of the cemetery was about to expire, and Li Shuxian felt very anxious.
She wanted to ask someone to find a place where Puyi could be buried permanently, and also to reserve a place for herself next to Puyi, and the two could be buried together in a hundred years. But suffering from no money on hand, she thought about it, and had to find the matchmaker Sha Zengxi, who was a bridge between herself and Pu Yi.
How humble can I have no money? To Sha Zengxi, who was full of sadness and expressed that although he wanted to help but was helpless, Li Shuxian felt like a fist hit the cotton. In the end, Sha Zengxi gave a verbal promise that he would try his best to find someone. Li Shuxian had to return empty-handed.
Soon, a man who claimed to be a joint person sent by Hong Kong businessman Zhang Shiyi found Li Shuxian. The other party heard that Li Shuxian wanted to find a place to bury Puyi permanently, and Zhang Shiyi just had the need to develop a commercial cemetery in the mainland, and he could use Puyi's gimmick to create momentum for his own development of the cemetery.
Li Shuxian seemed to have caught the straw. After she and the people sent by Zhang Shiyi made some requests of their own, they were accepted by Zhang Shiyi's party. The two parties hit it off, and after agreeing on the details, they waited for Zhang Shiyi to finish repairing the cemetery and relocate it.
This cemetery is not the cemetery
For Zhang Shiyi's behavior that he wants to return to China to start a business, the above gave full affirmation. Zhang Shiyi finally finalized a piece of land next to the Qing Dynasty Tombs, and found a professional master to see it. He confirmed that it was a treasured geomancy site. He decided to build a cemetery that integrates burial, sightseeing, culture and education here, creating a unique characteristic cemetery in China at that time. .
In 1992, this cemetery was completed. The Ministry of Civil Affairs at that time attached great importance to this cemetery, and specially named the cemetery: Hualong Royal Cemetery. In January 1995, Puyi carried out the second "move" and his ashes were moved from Babaoshan to the Hualong Royal Cemetery. It is very close to the Western Tombs of the Qing Dynasty, but it does not belong to the Western Tombs of the Qing Dynasty.
Although it is called the royal cemetery, it is not a place dedicated to the royal family in the traditional sense. Puyi can be buried here. First, Zhang Shiyi wants to use the power of the last emperor to create a gimmick to create popularity for his cemetery, attract more people, and achieve his business goals.
Secondly, because it is only 200 meters away from the Qingxi Mausoleum, the distance is very close. Even if Puyi’s cemetery is not moved to the Qingxi Mausoleum, it can also promote the development of surrounding tourism and improve the economic development level of Yi County. This is what everyone in Yixian expects to see.
Puyi's mausoleum dream
Few people know that Puyi has also had a mausoleum dream. He was only 10 years old at the time. Although he was forced to abdicate early due to the situation, the court still sent a sorcerer, Li Qing, to choose a place suitable for Puyi to build a mausoleum.
After Li Qing's diligent survey, and several inactive Qing elders discussed, a place called Huxianlou near Taidong Mausoleum in the western mausoleum of the Qing Dynasty was finally determined. There are mountains and waters here, and Feng Shui is excellent.
However, halfway through the construction project, construction was suspended due to economic distress. Later, Puyi was driven out of the Forbidden City by Feng Yuxiang, and since then he has never returned as the emperor, and the matters of the mausoleum ceased.
Finally, Puyi's cemetery was set in the Hualong Royal Cemetery. Although this is a commercial cemetery operated by individuals, it is separated from the tomb of Emperor Guangxu by a wall. For Puyi, it is barely the best result!
After Puyi died, he moved step by step from an ordinary cemetery to a higher-standard cemetery; and before his death, from the emperor to the prisoner, to the ordinary citizen, he experienced the warm and cold life. Life is like a play, and he interprets this word perfectly.
