A survey of American teenagers shows that the next generation is still super excited about the iPhone, and more and more people are tied to the wrist with Apple Watch. Analytics company Piper Sandler's semi-annual survey of American teenagers showed that since the last report, the iPhone ownership rate has remained at 87%, and teenagers' iPhone purchase intentions have also remained at 88%.
The Apple Watch ownership rate has risen by 1% since the beginning of 2022 and is currently at 31%. Among the teenagers surveyed, the percentage of plans to buy an Apple Watch rose 2% to 16%.
Since the end of 2021, the Apple Watch's ownership rate is 25%, and the purchase intention is 14%, which has seen a significant increase.
"87% iPhone ownership rate and 88% iPhone purchase intention metrics are close to the all-time highs of our survey." The company said in its full report, "We believe that penetration rate and increase in intentions are important given the mature high-end smartphone market."

Piper Sandler surveyed 14,500 teenagers from 47 states. Their average age is 15.8 years, while their average family income is $66,497.
